South Tyrol: Merano, Bolzano, Castelrotto, Fie, Funes, Ortisei ..

This is my first post in English. Why Am I doing this? Because it is interesting and it makes me get out the comfort zone.
So this post is about my trip in South Tyrol in Italian Alps.

Verona was the first city in our trip. It is very beautiful city, but there are very many noisy tourists walking around city and looking for Juliette’s and Romeo’s sights.

But it’s not the reason to go to Verona. Juliet did not even live here.
This is the city of amazing architecture и сrazy panoramic views from Piazzale Castel San Pietro.

Look at these stunning buildings..

The following citiy was Bolzano. We lived in Villa Anita. It was amazing house with private territory and amazing mountain views.

This city was very friendly and sunny. In Bolzano we lived for 2 days and 2 nights.

The South Tyrol is famous for its castles and vineyards

Vineyards grow here on every hill. It is very beautiful.

Funicular Ritten-Renon —  you must not skip it!

And this cute tram that has been driving here for 100 years. It will take you to Longomoso.

And .. Look at these mountains

This is the Dolomites.

The next town was Merano. A resort city with a Mediterranean climate.

In Merano we lived for 3 days.

Sight number 1 — Terme Merano. It’s a crime to not go there!

The most beautiful observation deck in the village of Tyrolo is high in the mountains. You can get there either by cable car or by bus.

And more vineyards.

Fiè allo Sciliar is a little commune with a population of just over 3,000 people.

We arrived to see the national park Schlern and the natural lake of Fölser Weyer, which was awarded  by the environmental organization Legambiente with the title of the most beautiful lake for swimming in Italy.

But the lake for fishing — Huber Weiher, was even more beautiful. The lake had incredibly beautiful turquoise color.

Cities in South Tyrol are incredibly picturesque.

Castelrotto was the city in which we lived for the last 5 days.

The population is 6428 people. The city is very cozy.

From this town we went to other amazing places.

Siusi is the town next door to Castelrotto. There is an amazingly beautiful mountain tundra — Alpe di Siusi.

Ortisei is a fairly large city, which is the busiest in winter.

On the hills it is very difficult to walk, especially when it is 25 degrees. In the mountains, this temperature is perceived differently.

Apperol comes to rescue.

In the city of Bresannon, we were not for long time. But it turned out to be very nice.

From there we drove to the famous Maddalena church.

This is one of the most beautiful views of the Dolomites.

This is small part of the story about my big journey.

I will tell you more soon.
